Handmade Northumbrian Larch Fireplace Mantel
Bring warmth and character to your fireplace with one of our handmade Northumbrian larch mantels, made by us in our Northumbrian workshop.
Each mantel is individually made from real larch timber and carefully finished to bring out the natural grain, knots and character of the wood. Rather than trying to make every piece perfectly uniform, we retain the features that make natural timber unique — meaning no two mantels will ever be exactly the same.
The chunky 150mm face with approximately 100mm projection from the wall gives the appearance of a substantial traditional beam without being excessively bulky, making it equally at home above a log burner, stone fireplace or traditional open fire.
The edges are softened and the timber carefully finished by hand, producing a rustic, aged appearance that works particularly well in country cottages, farmhouses, period properties and rustic interiors.

Available in a range of lengths to suit your fireplace. As this is a genuine natural timber product, grain pattern, knots, splits, colour and other character will vary from piece to piece — that's part of what makes every mantel unique.
