6" by 4 by 39" long Solid Oak Mantel – Live Corner Edge

This mantel began as a standard rounded-edge 6 by 4 section. During shaping, a natural bark corner revealed itself — and we chose to keep it.

The barked corner runs along the left-bottom or right top face when viewed from the front, creating a subtle live-edge detail without compromising structural integrity. I finished the mantel in a mid oak wax.

Character Notes

  • Natural bark retained on one corner

  • Nice cracking but structurally stable

We're really pleased with our Oak Mantel Beam. It has a nice rich colour and sets off the fireplace perfectly. The fixings allow some adjustment and are completely hidden. It was well packaged and arrived when expected.
