Handmade Oak Box Beam – Hollow Ceiling Beam & Oak Cladding
Bring the warmth and character of oak into your home with our handmade oak box beams. Designed to create the appearance of a substantial timber beam, their hollow construction offers beautiful natural wood with considerably less weight than an equivalent solid oak beam.
Handmade in our Northumberland workshop, each beam showcases oak’s distinctive grain, natural knots and warm tones. Whether you’re finishing a country kitchen or adding character to a modern open-plan room, an oak box beam creates a timeless focal point.
Beautiful oak, cleverly constructed
The three-sided, U-shaped design can conceal an existing ceiling beam, with the open side sitting against the ceiling. Carefully joined oak faces create a clean, substantial appearance while leaving space inside for the structure being covered.

Made to suit your project
Contact us with your required length, width and depth so we can discuss a beam tailored to your space. When covering an existing beam, please provide the internal clearance needed, including any existing boxing or protective covering.
Please note: These beams are decorative casings and do not provide structural support. Installation must suit the beam’s weight and the existing structure. Any required fire protection around structural steel must remain in place.
