These are the wax polish we use to finish your oak mantels or shelves. The wax/ polishes are made by Rustins in the UK.If you want to "touch up" your shelves or mantel or want to match some other oak you have this is the product you need.
We stock it in the five colours we finish our oak products in. They come in 370g tins. The colours:-
To apply, wear some latex gloves or similar as the wax contains stains that can stain your skin. Apply with a lint free cloth finishing in the direction of the grain. Leave a few minutes and buff off. Some people including Rustins recommend using 0000 grade wire wool, however on oak the iron can react with the tannin in the oak giving a black stain, so don't use it. If you really prefer wire wool to apply use a brass based wire wool.

We're really pleased with our Oak Mantel Beam. It has a nice rich colour and sets off the fireplace perfectly. The fixings allow some adjustment and are completely hidden. It was well packaged and arrived when expected.
