Made from a substantial solid oak beam, each mantel is worked by hand to create an aged, time-worn appearance. The surface is deliberately textured and distressed to bring out the natural grain, knots, splits and character of the oak, giving the impression of a beam that has been part of the building for generations.
Because we use real solid timber, no two mantels will ever be identical. Knots, grain patterns, shakes, splits and other natural features are part of the character and make every piece unique.
Please note: The oak corbels shown in some of our photographs are sold separately. The mantel can be installed without corbels for a simpler floating-beam appearance, or paired with our matching oak corbels for a more traditional fireplace design.
As this is a genuine natural timber product, dimensions, colour, grain, knots, splits and character will vary from piece to piece. These aren't defects — they're what give a solid oak mantel its individual appearance.
